Aqueduct cruises
Experience crossing the Stream in the Sky by boat with our Pontcysyllte Aqueduct 45-minute boat trips
We offer skippered boat trips across the UNESCO World Heritage Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
Float over Thomas Telford’s famous ‘stream in the sky’, in our newly refurbished trip boat ‘Little Star’ – ‘Seren Fach’ in Welsh. Take in the marvellous views that can be enjoyed from this historic structure, then meander along the Llangollen canal a little way and turn at Froncysyllte (home of the world famous Welsh Male Voice Choir).
From 29 March to 3 October 2024, trips depart daily from Trevor Basin at 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Over the winter months, we offer a reduced timetable on selective days. Check availability and book here.
How to find us
Trevor is situated 3 miles west of Ruabon on the Llangollen road. From the A5, take the A483 to Ruabon and then the A539 towards Llangollen. You will come down a long hill in Acrefair. At the bottom, before you start to climb into Trevor, you will see a brown sign ‘Canal Boat Trips’. Turn left here, then right into the public ‘pay and display’ car park on your right hand side. The address of this car park is Acrefair, Wrexham LL14 3SG. Put this postcode into your SatNav or Google Maps, rather than ‘Pontcysyllte Aqueduct’.
From the car park, walk towards the towpath, following signs for the Aqueduct to get to our boatyard.
The car park is open from 8am-8pm and is charged at £3 for the day.
