We offer a choice of 150 narrowboats from 9 canal boat hire bases. We also offer wide beam boats for hire from Silsden.
Canal barge hire from Anglo Welsh gives you all you need in terms of choice, training, availability and value for money. We’ll help you choose the canal or river route to suit you, and we’ll provide you with all the tuition you need to learn the ropes.
Whether you’re experienced or a complete beginner, our British Marine qualified staff will take you through everything you need to know to operate a narrowboat. We’ll show you the facilities on board and we’ll help you to learn how to steer the boat and navigate the locks. Our Boat Handover Video provides more information.
Once your handover is complete, you can set off on your narrowboat holiday adventure. You can travel at your own pace, watching out for wildlife and stopping off at places along the way.
Whether you want to test the waters with a short break on a relaxing route suitable for beginners. Or take a longer more challenging cruising circuit, we can help you decide which of our narrowboat holidays would work best for you.
Once you’ve selected your starting point, take a look at our range boats to see what works best for you. Ranging in size from 32ft to 70ft, our canal boats provide accommodation for between two and 12 people.
On board you’ll find all the comforts of home, including bedding, towels, central heating, flushing toilets, showers, a TV/DVD player, WiFi and a well equipped kitchen with an oven, fridge, cooking utensils, etc.
